W.O.W. Wondrous, original, whimsical. A truly unique piece (just like the girl we named it after). Deep olive green rayon festooned with dozens and dozens of jewel green tassels. Large rounded pocket on the right side under the hip with neat ruched pleating framing. Gathered rayon detail under the pocket, matching ruching on the edge of the sleeves creating a more fitted edge. Zips up the back for easy in and out.
“Queen Of The Tassel”, “The Tassel Tosser”, or “Tassel Dancer”, whichever you call her, she was Miss Sally Keith. One of Boston’s biggest dancers during the golden age of burlesque. Her assets? Tassel twirling naturally, on top and from behind too, with a set of oversized tassels and a glorious oversized platinum mane. Like Gypsy Rose Lee and Ann Corio, she had that appeal that pulled women in to come see her just as the men did. All accounts by her relatives, she was quite the stylish lady, which is very evident in her candids. She sang and composed songs too. She had some big assets but her biggest, a queen-sized heart. So have a Tassel Tosser cocktail in memory of Miss Sally (brandy, triple sec, and anisette), a supporter of the underdogs and a true queen of burlesque. After all, Sally Keith was the toast of the town!

Our vintage clothing pieces are true antiques, not modern reproductions or facsimiles. As such, unless specifically stated that they are “new old stock”, each piece should be considered a previously worn treasure that will show varying levels of use and potential condition issues. Please read every section of our vintage clothing product pages to best understand exactly what you are purchasing before placing your order. All vintage clothing is sold “as is” with no warranty and all vintage clothing sales are final. Finding undiscovered troves of brand new vintage clothing is exceptionally rare, so each item in our vintage shop is a unique listing with a first-come, first-served setup. We cannot hold or reserve items and once they have sold, it is unlikely that we will ever get another in our store again. If you see something you love, make sure to buy it or it might not be here on your next visit.
