Shining Lights of the Night
Fall of 1935 brought printed pattern maker McCall into dream tone satins and slick silhouettes. Although any of these would be just as delightful in velvet (their alternative suggestion). Peacock blue, apple green, creamed raspberry, and ice to night blues…draped and ready for anything the fall nights bring.
Saucy, Sweet, Sultry
Casuals, but with three different personalities.
Draped cuts like these never stopped looking gorgeous on their wearer.
The Desserts
Yes McCall finessed their way into pattern making from THE delectable Paris fashion houses Lanvin and Lelong. Glorious bright silk velvets bring the Lanvin “Floating Frock” to life but it’s streamlined draperies, effective both in motion and hanging still, bring it drama. Lelong’s siren gown is illustrated in silk jersey with puckered seaming that hugs you everywhere you want.
