The lash pin is for those who seek perfect lash placement à la Audrey Hepburn’s beauty trick style. Although the Hepburn beauty trick involved a simple stick pin, we’ve found a much easier time balancing the lashes out with a longer and thicker stem of a tool. As with many things, bigger is better! Brass doubles for its “oligodynamic” effect, a naturally occurring antibacterial property.
DISCLAIMER: Sharp stick end = CAUTION around your face, fabrics, friends, orifices, etc. Although the tip is dulled, any pointy objects around the eyes need to be used with extreme caution.
After Audrey’s makeup artist, Alberto de Rossi, applied a layer of mascara, he would take a pin or tweezers and separate every lash for that naturally-doe-eyed, wispy, dreamy, absolutely clump-free look. According to her son, Sean Hepburn Ferrer, Audrey would continue this tradition on her own using a safety pin. Our methods may not be quite as extreme but always proceed with caution nonetheless!
After applying the first coat of mascara, gently and carefully push and separate lashes in place, relieving the hairs of clumps and bumps on the way. Also ideal for after applying falsies, coating all lashes together, then pushing and separating both real and false lashes for a seamless look.
